Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Massachusetts, or ability to obtain before start
• At least 1 year of recent RN experience preferred, ideally in oncology, med-surg, acute care, or long-term acute care (LTAC)
• Oncology certification or strong oncology nursing experience preferred
• Experience safely administering medications and monitoring for reactions, complications, or side effects
• Ability to assess patients, document accurately in the medical record, and communicate changes in condition promptly
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-based healthcare environment
• Required onboarding items may include health screenings, background checks, skills validation, and license verification

Oncology RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and individualized nursing care to oncology patients in an LTAC setting
• Assess patients, record vital signs, and monitor for changes in condition
• Administer medications and observe patients for responses, adverse reactions, or side effects
• Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare team members to support patient care plans
• Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Support patients receiving chemotherapy and cancer treatment management
• Adapt care plans based on patient status, clinical response, and ongoing assessment
