Portland ME is hiring for a Lab Administrator. In this role you will own the day-to-day operations of a multi-disciplinary engineering lab supporting Electrical, Mechanical, Compliance, Integration & Firmware teams. This role keeps the lab running efficiently by organizing resources, streamlining workflows, ensure safety and work with the team to ensure a safe and accessible environment is maintained.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Lab Operations & CoordinationRun daily lab operations, managing shared spaces, equipment, and schedules for maximum efficiencyStrong organizational skills and ability to manage competing prioritiesInventory & Equipment ManagementOwn inventory, asset tracking, and consumablesOversee procurement, maintenance, repair, and calibrationAct as the go-to for equipment issues and vendor coordinationEngineering SupportEnsure tools, equipment, and test setups are ready when teams need themEliminate bottlenecks by coordinating shared resources and logisticsSafety & ComplianceMaintain safe lab conditions, perform audits, and ensure regulatory compliancePartner with Compliance on proper handling and storage standardsProcess ImprovementStandardize workflows, fix inefficiencies, and build scalable lab systemsMinimum Qualifications3+ years in lab operations, engineering support, or similar environment3+ years experience in a engineering electrical lab environmentExperience working with engineering teams (Electrical, Mechanical, Integration, Firmware, or Compliance)Experience with inventory, asset tracking, or equipment management (Excel, SAP, other tracking tools)Preferred QualificationsExperience in an engineering lab environmentFamiliarity with calibration, safety, and compliance practicesExperience improving processes or implementing tracking systemsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related fieldProven problem-solver who can operate independentlyStrong communication and collaboration skills#LI-HR1“We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.” #J-18808-Ljbffr Generac Power Systems
