Job ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, and repair all plumbing and piping systemsTroubleshoot and repair all mechanical/electrical devices including pumps, valves, heat-exchangers, cooling towers, lift stations, pneumatic control, boilers, chillers and compressorsOperate and maintain medical gas systems including nitrous oxide, nitrogen, air, oxygen and vacuum pipingOperate and maintain domestic water, heating hot water, chilled water, water softeners, RO water, sanitary sewer, sinks, toilets, showers, piping and equipment, etc.Monitor and inspect work to ensure compliance with work specifications, codes and regulationsPlan installations by reading blueprints and schematicsKeep work areas orderly, clean, and safeMaintain adequate inventory of plumbing supplies, tools, and partsCoordinate work order lists with Engineering SupervisorCoordinate with Construction Supervisor for scheduling and completion of in-house construction projectsTimely input data and time into the maintenance work order systemCompliance with all Riverview Health and Engineering Department policies and proceduresAvailability to assist Engineering staff by telephone or call-inOther duties as assignedEducation RequirementsMinimum: High School Diploma or GED; Licensed Journeyman plumberPreferred: Medical gas certificationExperience RequirementsMinimum: Three (3) years commercial experiencePreferred: Five (5) years commercial or institutional experienceLicense/Certification RequirementsMinimum:Completion of plumbing apprenticeship and licensed to practice as a Plumber in the state of IndianaMedical Gas Certification (or ability to be certified within 12 months of hire)QualificationsPlumberEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
