Communications SpecialistThe Opportunity: CACI is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Communication Specialist for the United States Secret Service (USSS) contract, supporting the Department of Homeland Security. This role offers a unique opportunity to enhance national security by developing clear, compelling communications that support critical OCIO transformation initiatives within the USSS. As a Communication Specialist, you will be responsible for translating complex technical and organizational changes into accessible, engaging content that drives awareness, understanding, and action across diverse audiences. From executive briefings to frontline awareness materials, you will create multi-channel communications—including emails, newsletters, videos, knowledge articles, and digital content—that keep stakeholders informed, engaged, and prepared for change. Working closely with engagement and adoption strategists, you will help ensure that transformation messaging is consistent, timely, and aligned with mission priorities. Join us to make a meaningful impact on a transformational program of national importance.Responsibilities:Develop and execute targeted communications, messaging, and awareness materials that clearly articulate OCIO transformation objectives, impacts, progress, and expected outcomesCreate multi-channel communications including email campaigns, newsletters, videos, knowledge articles, digital content, and intranet posts to increase awareness and understanding of new OCIO capabilities, processes, and servicesTranslate technical and complex organizational changes into clear, audience-appropriate language for mission operators, field technology staff, supervisors, and executive leadershipEnsure all communications are consistent, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities across OCIO divisionsDevelop and maintain a comprehensive Communications Calendar coordinating engagement activities, campaigns, and messaging across all OCIO transformation initiativesPlan and schedule communications to ensure timely delivery aligned with project milestones, training events, and organizational readinessCoordinate with stakeholders across divisions to gather input, validate messaging, and ensure accuracy and alignmentCreate Training & Awareness Content including user guides, quick-reference materials, micro-learning videos, infographics, and targeted messages for specific user groupsDevelop role-based communications that help users understand "what's changing, why it matters, and what to do" with new capabilities and processesSupport training-aligned engagement by creating materials that reinforce learning and drive adoptionCreate executive briefings, presentations, and stakeholder communications that promote transparency, understanding, and engagement throughout transformation initiativesSupport communication pathways between the CIO, division chiefs, and mission stakeholders through clear, professional, and strategic messagingDevelop talking points, scripts, and supporting materials for town halls, leadership sessions, and stakeholder meetingsIncorporate feedback from listening sessions, surveys, and stakeholder touchpoints to continuously improve messaging clarity and effectivenessAdjust communication approaches based on engagement metrics (reach, comprehension, sentiment) and feedback analysisCollaborate with engagement strategists to identify communication gaps and refine content to maximize impactEnsure all communications adhere to USSS and CACI branding standards, tone, and style guidelinesMaintain high standards for grammar, accuracy, clarity, and professionalism across all deliverablesReview and edit content from other team members to ensure consistency and qualityQualifications:RequiredAssociate's degree + 6 years of relevant experience in communications, technical writing, marketing, journalism, or related fields; equivalencies considered (10 years of experience with no degree, BA/BS + 4 years' experience, MA + 1 years' experience)Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearanceProven ability to create clear, engaging communications for diverse audiences including technical and non-technical stakeholdersStrong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detailExperience developing multi-channel communications (email, web, video, print, presentations)Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)DesiredExperience supporting federal government communications, particularly within DHS or law enforcement agenciesBackground in organizational change management or transformation communicationsExperience creating training materials, user guides, and enablement contentFamiliarity with video production, graphic design, and multimedia content creationProficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro) or similar toolsExperience with content management systems (CMS), SharePoint, or intranet platformsKnowledge of communication metrics, analytics, and engagement trackingExperience developing communications calendars and managing editorial workflowsStrong interviewing and stakeholder engagement skills to gather content requirementsUnderstanding of IT/technology terminology and conceptsCertifications in Technical Writing, Communications, or related disciplinesExperience with accessibility standards (Section 508 compliance)What You Can Expect:A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
