The Action Center is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Part-Time Marketing Specialist to support our marketing and communications efforts. This position will help create engaging content, maintain our visual brand, manage digital communications, and support marketing campaigns and events that connect our community with the Action Center's mission and impact.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and creative problem-solver who enjoys working across a variety of projects and can balance independent work with collaboration.

This part-time position requires 20 hours per week in the office, with potential for up to 4 hours of remote work.

JOB DUTIES

Content & Communications

· Write and edit content for social media, websites, email communications, newsletters, and other marketing materials.

· Create engaging stories and content that highlight the Action Center's programs, services, community impact, and participants.

· Help maintain consistent messaging and visual branding across communications.

Graphic Design and Multimedia

· Design flyers, social media graphics, presentations, signage, and other print and digital materials.

· Create and edit photo and video content for marketing and social media.

· Support the development of campaign materials and promotional collateral.

· Maintain organized marketing and creative assets.

Digital Marketing

· Create, schedule, and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms.

· Assist with website updates and content management.

· Monitor social media and digital marketing analytics and help identify opportunities to improve engagement.

· Support email marketing and digital campaigns as needed.

Events and Campaign Support

· Provide marketing and communications support for events, fundraising campaigns, donation drives, and community initiatives.

· Capture photos and videos at events and activities.

· Help coordinate promotional materials, signage, and communications for events and campaigns.

· Gather stories, quotes, photos, and other content that demonstrate community impact.

Team Support

Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications Manager and other departments to support organizational communications and marketing priorities.

Assist with special projects and other marketing and communications needs as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Educational background in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills.

Passion for the Action Center's mission and commitment to serving our community.

Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms.

Experience with Canva, Squarespace, and Microsoft Office required.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.

Experience with photography and videography preferred.

Experience updating websites and creating digital content.

Strong visual design and storytelling skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

The work involves the normal physical activity associated with an office environment.

This part-time position requires 20 hours per week in the office, with potential for up to 4 hours of remote work.
