Thought Leader Liaison, Nephrology- Southeast

Biogen seeks an Associate Director, Thought Leader Liaison for Nephrology to serve as the primary commercial liaison to key medical experts and transplant centers in the Southeast. This field-based role develops external advocacy, gathers marketplace insights, and supports strategic engagement across current and future indications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify, profile, and engage key medical experts within transplant and nephrology communities regionally and nationally
• Gather and synthesize field insights on customer needs, treatment practices, competitive activity, and market dynamics
• Serve as primary liaison for approved KME engagement activities including advisory boards, consulting, and educational initiatives
• Support regional and national congress planning and coordinate strategic KME engagement around scientific meetings
• Partner with marketing, medical, sales, and compliance teams to develop compliant commercial engagement strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, science, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Minimum 7 years marketing, field sales, or thought leader liaison experience
• Rare disease and/or nephrology field-based experience required
• Strategic thinking with demonstrated ability to influence across internal and external stakeholders
• Exceptional analytical skills to synthesize complex information and identify meaningful opportunities
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities with healthcare professionals and diverse teams
• Ability to manage competing priorities across large geography; up to 60-70% travel

Compensation: $180,000–$247,500 base
