Job Description The Water System Field Service Technician is responsible for learning the installation, service, repair, and selling processes for Kinetico’s residential water system customers. This role requires 100% local travel in our target geographies. Responsibilities Learn residential water system applications and capabilities. Follow established procedures to evaluate water system equipment function and perform appropriate maintenance activity. Observe and act upon opportunities for further sales. Deliver salt, filters, and other water treatment products. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Monitor and restock product inventory. Finalize report on completion of field visit and submit to service department in a timely manner. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including company vehicle and tools. Competencies Reduce number of customer call‑backs. Meet upselling sales goals. Follow procedures and accurately document results. Produce high quality of work and customer service. Physical Effort and Work Environment Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing and reaching; frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and maneuvering up to 100 pounds with a dolly; frequent exposure to oil and noise; exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes. Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Plumbing experience and skills preferred. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and show initiative. Strong work ethic, self‑motivated, action and goal oriented. Mechanical aptitude, good analytical, problem‑solving, and troubleshooting skills; understanding of the technology contained in the company’s products is essential. Proven customer‑centric focus and ability to establish and change priorities as required. Excellent listening and verbal customer service skills, including phone skills. Organized and able to provide detailed follow‑up and follow‑through of all company processes and procedures. Proficient in common software programs such as Word and Excel; familiarity with data entry systems a plus. Accurate management of data, willingness to help others, and an interest in executing responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner.
