Description

• Assess patients in either an inpatient or outpatient capacity and develop tailored treatment plans
• Implement physical therapy techniques aimed at improving mobility, strength, balance, and overall function
• Work closely with nurses, physicians, case managers, and fellow rehabilitation professionals to enhance patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families concerning therapeutic milestones, discharge strategies, and home exercise regimens
• Document evaluations, therapies, and progress in adherence with facility and regulatory standards
• Engage in care team discussions and interdisciplinary conferences to ensure cohesive care plans

Education

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a comparable degree from an accredited institution

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Physical Therapist
• Preferred certification in CPR
• Additional specialized certifications (such as neurological or geriatric) are an asset, though not necessary
