Strategic Procurement Specialist
Twin City Staffing is seeking a strategic procurement specialist to join a premier manufacturing team in St. Paul. You will act as the primary link between production needs and supplier capabilities, ensuring high-quality materials are secured at the best value.
Location: Saint Paul, MN Wage: $31 - $39 hourly wage (based on experience) Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 6:00 am - 3:30 pm
- Friday: 6:00 am - 12:00 pm

Duties of the procurement specialist:
- Manage the Purchase Order cycle from initiation to verification
- Negotiate pricing and contracts for maximum cost efficiency
- Expedite delayed orders and resolve return/credit issues
- Source and qualify new suppliers for metals and hardware
- Evaluate vendors using quality and delivery scorecards
- Align material orders with Just-In-Time initiatives
- Monitor inventory to prevent overstocking or shortages
- Conduct on-site supplier visits to assess capabilities
Requirements of the procurement specialist:
- 3+ years of purchasing experience in manufacturing
- Experience buying raw metals and hardware components
- Proficiency with ERP systems (JobBOSS) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. regularly and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Valid Driver's License for local supplier visits
- APICS certification or a Bachelor's in Supply Chain
