Facilities Technician

Job Summary Facilities Technician – Day Shift (6am – 2pm, Monday‑Friday) based in Fremont, CA. This fully on‑site role reports to the Senior Manager, Facilities & Real Estate and is responsible for maintaining the reliability and safety of Bloom Energy’s manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities Inspect completed work for performance and compliance with local building and safety codes. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety equipment. Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and alarm systems. Keep detailed records of daily inspections and maintenance activities. Paint, patch walls, assist with office moves or furniture repairs, and maintain flooring as needed. Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers to execute major repairs or upgrades. Prioritize daily activities, manage work orders, and keep management informed of progress and delays. Maintain courteous interactions with staff, vendors, and the public, fostering effective relationships. Create purchase orders and work requests for materials and supplies following established guidelines. Participate in safety training and meetings, consistently using safe work practices. Respond to emergencies and request assistance activities as needed. Provide reliable transportation between buildings and hold a valid driver’s license. Skills and Experience 5+ years of proven facilities experience. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Strong cross‑functional teamwork and multitasking skills. Independent problem‑solving and facilities issue resolution. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self‑motivated, capable of working with minimal oversight. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships. Compensation Salary Range: $28.02 – $40.32 per hour.
