As the go-to person in the classroom, you’ll maintain a positive and productive environment by supervising students, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring students stay engaged with their online curriculum. You will address minor technical issues, supporting seamless virtual lessons, without delivering core academic content. Your adaptability and strong organizational skills will help facilitate a smooth classroom experience for everyone involved.

Preferred experience and skills:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting
• Strong ability to manage student behavior and foster a supportive learning environment
• Confidence with basic classroom technology and troubleshooting minor tech problems
• Flexibility to travel between classrooms and potentially float to different campuses
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students and staff
• Ability to follow school policies and collaborate with onsite personnel and remote educators

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee students participating in virtual lessons, ensuring focus and engagement
• Transport students between classrooms as needed
• Address routine classroom and technology issues to keep the day on track
• Foster a safe, organized, and positive educational setting
• Serve as the physical point of contact for students when remote teachers are instructing
