PICU/NICU RTT- Respiratory - Respiratory Therapist

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Gulf Coast Division.

Additional Details:

There is no shift differential for AM/PM.

Required Skills/Experience: Candidate must have NICU and PICU experience. Level 3 NICU experience or pediatric critical care experience required. Adult-only experience will not work. Delivery experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Adult experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any special scheduling requests must be made with manager upon arrival at facility.

Unit Details: PICU/NICU respiratory assignment with neonatal and pediatric critical care patient population. Typical procedures include intubations, surfactant administration, and deliveries. Uses Crossvent, Airvo, Bunnell Jet, Drager VN500, Hamilton G5, Evolve Nitric Oxide, Pneuton, and Oscillator A.

Shift & Scheduling: 4 weekend shifts required per four-week schedule.

Floating Requirements: Float areas include Adult ICU, floors, Level 2 NICU, Level 3 NICU, Level 4 NICU, PICU, and pediatrics.

10 days maximum time off

1 reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
