As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Alert in New York, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSat07:30 AM - 03:30 PMSun03:30 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related screening, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas, to help identify unusual activity and policy violations.
• Monitor the location for unauthorized entry, trespassing, loitering, and/or disruptive behavior, and follow post orders for de-escalation, notification, and incident reporting.
• Support a respectful environment by assisting with visitor directions, enforcing location rules, and communicating with residents and staff regarding security-related issues and/or changing conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
