Integrity Common Sense Innovation Accountability Position Data: Program Coordinator II-J23-U11-H Regular Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime) Overview: Pay Range: $32.25 - $40.91 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, C41 Step 1-13) Hiring Range: $32.25 - $34.23 per hour (Non-Bargaining Pay Plan, C41 Step 1-4 DOQ) Job Closing Date: June 18, 2026 There is a Program Coordinator II (Family Treatment Court Coordinator) vacancy with Yakima County Juvenile Court. This position is a key position in Juvenile Court The position is responsible for coordinating a multidisciplinary team dedicated to Family Treatment Court (FTC). The FTC Coordinator works closely with the judge, attorneys, case managers, and therapists to encourage, document and manage a family’s progress through the program. The FTC Coordinator will serve on relevant local and state boards and/or committees, engage statewide and local leaders on issues related to mental health and substance use addiction. Also, applies for, maintains grants and reports outcomes. This excludes Yakima County Sheriff's Office and Department of Corrections) Responsibilities: Performs program administration of the FTC program in Juvenile Court to ensure policy and procedures as well as grant guidelines are followed by all parties involved. Serves as the direct liaison between members of the Therapeutic Court Team which consist of multi-departmental professionals and the Therapeutic Court Judge, and Court Commissioner to communicate court and treatment activities for Therapeutic Court clients. Coordinates and facilitates the day-to-day operations of the FTC Programs such as calendaring, data management and maintenance, using statewide databases and calendaring systems as well as Microsoft Office applications to schedule meetings with stakeholders in the program and track and report statistical information. Collects and enters statistical data for Therapeutic Courts as well as other Superior Court and Juvenile Court dockets for quality assurance and Superior and Juvenile Court case management planning purposes; compiles and evaluates the data for simple and complex reports to the Juvenile Court Commissioner, the Juvenile Court Administrator, and at times, to the Superior Court Judges, the Superior Court Director, state and/or federal grant agencies. Collects, summarizes, and analyzes data that will be used by program management staff to make strategic decisions. Produces reports on complex issues that present objective, rational findings on which policy decisions can be made; Prepares required statistical and programming information for grant reports and reimbursement requests from grant agencies; Represents the Juvenile FTC and/or Superior Court Therapeutic Court Programs in meetings with service providers, other criminal justice partners, and legislative representatives, and apprises the Juvenile Court Administrator, the Court Commissioner and as needed, the Superior Court Judge and Director of program progress, needs, concerns, etc. Provides detailed written recommendations concerning feasibility of continuing current programming or adding new programs based on research and studies. Assesses technology and administrative needs; provides collaborators with statistical analyses to assist with program decision-making either pre-grant award or post grant award; Researches, compiles, and prepares proposals for specific grant or state funded programs such as they relate to FTC and the other Superior Court Therapeutic Courts, as required by the Judicial Executive Committee and/or Court Director; organizes and coordinates therapeutic court graduations; Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology or Judicial Administration AND two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience working in the chemical dependency field with knowledge of mental health, criminal justice, and judicial systems, including performance and outcome evaluations for improving program evaluations for improving program operations. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Criminology or Judicial Administration AND one (1) year of increasingly responsible experience working in the chemical dependency field with knowledge of mental health, criminal justice, and judicial systems, including performance and outcome evaluations for improving program evaluations for improving program operations. Recent developments, literature, resources, and best practices in the different therapeutic court fields. Performance measurement and outcomes in therapeutic courts. Regulations and standards governing Drug Court programming. Community resources pertinent to the specific coordination position. Current trends and developments pertaining to Drug Court operations. Grant administration principles and program funding sources Program records, reports, and documentation Research design and data collection. Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook Knowledge of statewide legal databases such as JIS, SCOMIS,JABS, Spillman, ODYSSEY Terminology, laws, rules and regulations governing courts Roles and responsibilities of judicial system Court Scheduling and Docketing Principles and practices of case management Strategic planning principles and practices. Clear and concise verbal and written skills Knowledge of project management, organizational management, practices and principles relating to trends in the field of court programming General office practices Skills and Abilities: Laws, codes, and rules governing functions of the judicial system for the area of assignment. Court procedures and operations including scheduling of case calendars. Research methods, data collection techniques and statistical analysis. Ability to establish effective working relationships with other staff, County officials, outside agencies, community organizations and the public. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing Ability to write clear, concise, meaningful reports. Providing case management services to program participants Coordinating the delivery of services between therapeutic court team participants Exceptional research and analytical skills Ability to determine priorities and make critical decisions regarding programming. Ability to interpret and apply contract language. Ability to make independent decisions based on research and analysis of situations.
