Pastry Cook

The Dinex Group, restaurant group for Chef Daniel Boulud iscurrently looking for a passionate & driven Pastry Cook to join the team at our beloved Palm Beach restaurant in sunny Florida . Situated inside the beautiful Brazilian Court Hotel, Café Boulud boasts a menu inspired by Daniel's four muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisine. The Pastry Cook will need to have a full knowledge of the pastry menu as well as general pastry techniques including the principles and formulas concerning starches, fats, sugars, liquids, eggs and flavorings.They must also have the ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast paced environment. Essential Duties: Must be able to communicate clearly with their managers and his/her teammates Keep their production to the level required by the Executive Pastry Chef & Executive Chef Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment throughout the shift in accordance with Health Department and restaurant standards Ability to perform all essential duties during a lengthy, high-volume and high-pressure service Must be able to follow instructions during service from Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie throughout the service Positions require: 1+ Year Pastry Cook experience, fine dining a plus Full availability - daytime hours, evening hours and weekends Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment For more information about The Dinex Group, please visit The Dinex Group LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
