Test Automation Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Test Automation Engineer for a Contract job with a client in West Chester, PA . The ideal candidate has proven experience in Python-based test automation, designing scalable automation frameworks and driving enterprise-wide testing strategies. Must possess strong expertise in STLC standards, CI/CD test integration, risk-based testing, and quality governance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.


Rate Range: $44/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Test Automation Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Define and implement enterprise-wide test automation frameworks and quality assurance strategies aligned with STLC standards.
• Lead test planning, estimation, and risk-based testing activities across multiple projects.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality validation.
• Establish testing standards, best practices, and governance for functional, integration, system, and UAT testing.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and business teams while mentoring QA leads and test engineers to drive testing excellence.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8-10 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
• Strong expertise in Python-based test automation and building scalable automation frameworks.
• Proven experience with STLC, test strategy development, risk-based testing, and quality governance.
• Hands-on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborating with Development, DevOps, and Business teams.

Pay Details: $44.00 to $45.00 per hour
