Field Sales Rep III – Seed – Central North Carolina Responsibilities Achieve assigned sales targets for Bayer products in coordination with pod-mates. Develop and implement dealer business plans, manage forecasting, inventory, and product demand issues. Serve as key business consultant to retailers and dealers, effectively selling the value of Bayer Crop Science products. Demonstrate proof of product performance against competition and champion Bayer brands and technical/agronomic knowledge. Collaborate with pod-mate Field Sales Representatives, Customer Business Advisors, Bayer Agronomists, and other stakeholders to maximize services, information, and sales to preferred growers and key accounts. Active inventory management to meet business objectives while anticipating demand and bottlenecks. Gather, assimilate, and analyze market and competitive information. Utilize data to make key decisions driving business outcomes. Develop and recommend strategies for long- and short-term business plans for key accounts and assigned area. Manage expenses, discretionary dollars, and program payments per Bayer Crop Science policy. Continuously expand selling skills and product knowledge, mentoring peers and teammates. Ensure achievement of program execution and fulfillment, including national and regional marketing initiatives. Take a leadership role in partnering with pod-mate field sales team and managing relationships with top growers and retailers. Act as business expert for top growers and retailers, planning for customer business needs. Proactively mentor and coach early-career field sales representatives. Manage area claims per Bayer Crop Science policy through effective problem solving, administration, and resource management. Travel approximately 60% of the time (primarily day travel within the listed geography). Grow market share of Crop Protection, Seed, and Trait business and create demand for seed, trait, and chemistry within the territory. Qualifications Experience in sales, marketing, account management, or agriculture. Excellent communication skills (interpersonal, oral, and written). Demonstrated initiative, assertiveness, and ability to drive results. Excellent business acumen, account planning, influencing, and critical thinking skills. Financial, time, and territory management expertise. Proven ability to multi-task in a rapid‑paced and matrixed environment. Strong computer and presentation skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Demonstrated digital acumen and ability to analyze data to influence decisions. Willingness to travel and live/work in a rural environment. Proven interest in supporting collaboration and teamwork. Position requires driving vehicles, potentially under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction, and passing a driving record background check. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 6+ years of experience in sales, marketing, account management, or agriculture, or equivalent education and 10+ years of listed experience. Demonstrated product, portfolio, and agronomic knowledge. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $90,640.00 – $135,960.00. Additional compensation may include bonus or commission (if relevant).
