LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a respected law firm to recruit a skilled patent agent. This full time role is ideal for a detail oriented professional with strong experience in patent drafting, prosecution, and USPTO procedures. The ideal candidate will have a technical background, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of intellectual property matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office
• Conduct prior art searches and prepare patentability analyses
• Assist attorneys with managing domestic and international patent portfolios
• Prepare responses to office actions and communicate with USPTO examiners
• Review invention disclosures and collaborate with inventors to develop strong patent strategies
• Support freedom to operate analyses and IP due diligence projects
• Maintain accurate records, deadlines, and documentation for all assigned matters
• Coordinate with foreign associates on international filings and prosecution activities

Qualifications:

• Registration with the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a patent agent
• Technical background in engineering, computer science, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related discipline
• Experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a law firm or corporate IP department
• Strong understanding of USPTO rules and patent prosecution procedures
• Excellent analytical and writing skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively
• Proficiency with patent research databases and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with attorneys, inventors, and technical teams

Benefits:

Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the benefits may include PTO, medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan or a non-qualified deferred compensation plan. Additionally, you may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable. Bonus eligibility and amount are based upon company and/or individual performance.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
