Here, you will make an impact by:Participating in cross functional teams to support development efforts in the flexographic and splicing tape materials platform, gathering critical customer feedback and supporting the commercialization of key growth products.Oversees and runs product testing laboratory and equipment.Acts as a liaison between 3M and 3rd party testing and certifications laboratories.Assists in determining the competitive landscape for the overall global market.Supports the global business and sales teams and provides key training and awareness to the global application engineering team members.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionTwo (2) years of application engineering, laboratory technology and technology development in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in Printmaking, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Material Science from an accredited institutionFive (5) years of laboratory technology and technology development in a private, public, government or military environmentThe ability to build personal relationships both internally at 3M and externally with customersExperience developing and substantiating product claimsExperience modifying and developing application test methods and communicating those results to a broader teamExperience with SCRUM/Agile methodologiesCurrent, valid Driver’s License.Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN.Travel: May include up to 25% domestic/internationalRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
