The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from January 1, 2027 to ongoing

Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 6:00 PM; nightly weekday call coverage; 24-hour weekend call coverage

Position Details: Full-time coverage needed through approximately January 24, 2027, followed by part-time/twice-monthly coverage. Primarily based at Henry Ford St. John. Level III NICU with approximately 3,000 deliveries annually. Inpatient L&D volume is 0 5 patients/day, averaging 2. Potential outpatient-only coverage at Henry Ford Warren on Tuesdays/Thursdays for half-day sessions.
Patient Population: High- and low-risk obstetric patients; inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient; Henry Ford St. John with potential outpatient coverage at Henry Ford Warren
Responsibilities: Review and round on inpatient MFM patients with residents; provide inpatient and phone consultations; evaluate patients in person when clinically needed; supervise residents in the high-risk OB clinic; interpret and manage ultrasound services and related consultations
Required Procedures: Amniocentesis; cerclage, including rescue cerclage; external cephalic version (ECV)
EMR System: Not specified
Support Staff: Residents and sonographer; 1 ultrasound machine with up to 8 ultrasounds/day
Days Per Month: Full-time initially; after January, anticipated recurring coverage approximately twice monthly
On-Call/Weekends: Weeknight call and 24-hour weekend call coverage; minimal callback, approximately 1 per call shift if any

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified
• MI License or IMLC
• BLS and ACLS through AHA
• Must be able to perform the required procedures; malpractice or background items must be flagged at submission
