You will leave key imprints on our critical national security products through your efforts in detailing operational concepts and tight coordination with external interfaces. You will guide design trades, track implementation evolution, provide documentation that serves as multi-party agreements; all of which will ensure our space vehicles perform to and exceed their missions and keep us safe. We are looking to invest in the career of someone like us: a mission-focused, motivated individual with the skills, intelligence, attitude, team-work mindset and perseverance to innovate our product line into the future.As a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Mission Integration Engineer, you will:Use best practice Model Based Systems Engineering tools to develop the CONOPS for a complex satellite from a set of evolving constraints and capabilities;Engage with counterparts to surface assumptions, arrive at a mutual understanding, and negotiate agreements across interfaces external to the system;Articulate the rationales driving the end results clearly enough to serve as authoritative reference;Practice judgment and take initiative to solve issues that leave a long wake of consequential impacts;Generate resulting reference products effectively and clearly to target different user communities (e.g. designers, test planning, data exchange, operators, etc.);Own requirements from mission-level functional performance to, as-applicable, lower-level specifications; Provide verification narrative and evidence.Desired skills:Bachelors or higher in Engineering, Applied Science, Applied Math, related subject areaKnowledge of spacecraft architecture, subsystems and componentsExperience with complex, large-scale spacecraft development from design through integration, testExperience with interface development within a System-of-systems architectureExperience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools (Cameo, Rhapsody, etc)Proficiency in MATLAB or equivalent engineering software for data manipulation, analysis, and modelingStrong presentation skills, agile speaker who can effectively brief audiences from different backgrounds and/or with varying technical knowledgeActive TS/SCI security clearance with investigation in the last 5 yearsOther important information:By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
