Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your clinical expertise and passion for student success to a contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Detroit area. This onsite, full-time assignment spans the academic year and offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive school-based team while fostering communication skills in K-12 students.

You’ll work with a manageable caseload, well below the state maximum of 60 students, allowing you to focus more deeply on high-quality interventions and personalized student care. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations, developing and implementing IEPs, and collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to support students’ progress.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Michigan SLP license in good standing
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong commitment to evidence-based practice
• Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with varying communication needs
• Conduct assessments and interpret data to determine eligibility and develop intervention plans
• Participate in IEP meetings, ensuring student goals are met and progress is monitored
• Maintain accurate and timely records as required by state and district guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families for holistic support
