GIS Analyst

As a GIS Analyst at Resource Data, you will independently produce GIS products and analyses that help clients make informed business and operational decisions. You’ll work with project teams and stakeholders to apply spatial analysis, cartographic principles, data management, and web GIS technologies to solve spatially related business questions. This role provides opportunities to contribute to client projects through independent analysis, high-quality GIS deliverables, and practical GIS solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure accuracy of emergency response systems by interfacing with members of the public to gather relevant parcel change information and coordinating updates to public GIS dataConfigure and execute geoprocessing tools and models for spatial analysis and GIS data processing, including vector and raster operationsApply cartographic principles to create effective and aesthetically pleasing printed and digital maps, reports, and figuresCreate and update Field Maps maps, forms, layers, symbology, and data collection workflows to support client field operationsConfigure low-code GIS web products using out-of-the-box capabilities like Experience BuilderLoad and manage data in file and enterprise geodatabases from a variety of formats and complete metadata according to best practices or client standardsManage groups, users, roles, content organization, and item settings in online and enterprise GIS environmentsBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience2+ years of direct experience in a similar GIS role, or demonstrated capability to perform the key responsibilities of the positionExperience using Esri Experience Builder to configure and develop web GIS applications and dashboardsProficiency with GIS software for data management, spatial analysis, and cartographyAbility to communicate analysis results clearly through maps, reports, and technical documentationStrong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience working directly with clients in a consulting roleIndustry experience in municipal government GIS environments#LI-HybridSummaryLocation: Houston, TX, United StatesType: Full TimeExperience: Mid LevelDepartment: Houston Branch
