The Transformation and Engagement Analyst Senior plays a vital role in driving strategic growth and operational excellence within the Claims Department. Reporting to the Claims Transformation Lead, this position supports the development and execution of short-term and long-term strategies, focusing on specialty claim infrastructure and process improvements. The Senior Analyst serves as a change catalyst, aligning strategy, people, process, and technology to achieve transformation objectives.

As a key member of the Claims Engagement and Transformation Team, this role contributes to the team's mission of streamlining processes, solutions, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and scalability. The team's efforts aim to enable business growth while maintaining a lean organization, and this position is instrumental in achieving this goal.

The Engagement and Transformation Analyst Senior is responsible for providing comprehensive management across Claims transformation projects, ensuring successful outcomes and delivery of key objectives. This includes people, process, product, and portfolio management, as well as data-driven decision making to inform business growth strategies. By driving process improvements and capturing key data, this role helps to create a foundation for profitable growth, efficient operations, and informed decision making, ultimately supporting the organization's ability to scale and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

The Engagement and Transformation Analyst Senior is responsible for the following key areas:

1. Strategic Leadership : Plays a key role in implementing the claims transformation vision, provide strategic alignment, and collaborate with claims management and other departmental teams to drive business outcomes.
2. Requirements Oversight : Review and sign off on business requirements providing additional steer where needed, develop business cases, and define business rules to ensure seamless operations.
3. Stakeholder Management and Communication : Foster strong relationships with claims staff, leadership, and external departments, communicate production issue impact, and roll out training materials to support change management.
4. Process Optimization and Improvement : Analyze and identify process gaps, design and implement future-state processes, and troubleshoot production issues to optimize business processes.
5. Project Oversight and Governance : Influence project oversight, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and adherence to deadlines.
6. Data Analysis and Insights : Gather and analyze data to support business requirements, collaborate with data design teams, and develop data requirements to inform decision-making.
7. Business Knowledge : Demonstrate strong business acumen, know the claims cycle, and visualize current state business roles and responsibilities to identify areas for improvement.
8. Technical Knowledge : Utilize technical skills to support business process solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Excel, and other self-service systems, and serve as a liaison between IT and Business.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Influence development of claims transformation vision and implement to align with various projects
• Provide strategic direction to product owners on scope and business requirements
• Identify and prioritize process improvements, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize business processes
• Inform decision-making through data analysis and insights
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate requirements
• Develop and maintain business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and risk mitigation strategies
• Define and refine business rules, edits, and escalation requirements to ensure seamless operations
• Facilitate consensus-building with stakeholders, including Claims and cross-departmental teams
• Troubleshoot production issues, providing root cause analysis and recommendations for resolution
• Rollout new processes utilizing change management strategies
• Monitor performance, tracking key metrics and providing data-driven insights to inform decision-making
• Assist in backlog management, prioritizing tasks and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
• Gather and analyze data to support business requirements, providing actionable insights and recommendations
• Collaborate with data design teams, informing data-driven decisions and ensuring alignment with business processes
• Develop and maintain data requirements, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
• Demonstrate strong business acumen through policy analysis, claims cycle knowledge, and lean six sigma practices
• Visualize current state business roles and responsibilities and suggest new ways of working to gain efficiencies
• Ensure requirements are met and validated through UAT and business requirement sign-off
• Observe, report, and resolve process gaps that aren’t just claims related, including policy process opportunities, accounting opportunities, and other areas for improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 10+ years of claims handling, claims operations experience, multi-line including commercial experience.
• Experience working on large scale projects
• Experience with enterprise-wide systems, automation solutions, and operational best practices.
• Claim technical aptitude to identify, document, and inform claim system requirements.
• Advanced skills in creating meaningful PowerPoint presentations.
• Advanced skills in Visio; process mapping across one or more functional areas/processes.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and creating insights from data.
• Skilled in Lean, Agile, and/or Six Sigma to reduce waste, process variation, and non-value add activities
• Proactive self-starter requiring minimal guidance and ability to meet deadline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience presenting clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience.
• Experience managing and influencing teams without a formal reporting relationship.

The Company is open to considering candidates in numerous locations including Princeton (NJ) and Philadelphia (PA).  The salary range posted below reflects market variations across various locations. The offer will be adjusted per geography.

The base salary range anticipated for this position is $138,400 - $212,100 , plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay. In addition, the company makes available a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). 

The salary estimate is adjusted to reflect the varying market conditions across different locations, with the higher end being more aligned with the Princeton job market. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the range.
