The incumbent will partner with Operational Leaders to ensure facility operations are adequately staffed while attaining high employee satisfaction and engagement. The incumbent is responsible for developing, guiding, and executing initiatives in the areas of culture, change management, talent assessment and development, succession, and performance management to drive high performance for a diverse workforce. This position is located at our Cleveland, TX facility.Primary responsibilities and/or essential functions include, but are not limited to:Coach and advise leaders, support multiple functions/departments to create a high-performance culture through talent management, performance management, and leadership development (coach, counsel, career development, performance management, etc.).Collaborate with leadership to develop strategy, addressing employee related issues.Monitor absenteeismMonitor turnoverPromote positive moraleOrganize programs to engage employeesLabor relations mattersLead/manage projects and/or participates as a project member on HR initiatives as assigned.Develop written and oral presentations that have high clarity and impact. Provide regular written reports as needed.Identify and apply innovative ideas to adapt to changing work demands.Develop and implement policies and programs for effective management of the people resources of each department. This includes programs associated with labor & employee relations, diversity & inclusion, employee complaints, external education, and career development.The incumbent will not only demonstrate, but will also lead initiatives, promote participation, and recognize employees and leaders that live by the organization’s commitments and values.The incumbent is responsible for building relationships with local organizations, businesses, and community leaders to support the organization’s mission.Participate in and support quality projects and initiatives to ensure that the company achieves its goals.Utilize and ensure accuracy of HRIS system to obtain various metrics to include:TurnoverOpen PositionsTime to fill positionsEmployee satisfaction (Survey Results)Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field OR minimum of 7 years of relevant HR experience in a manufacturing/industrial environmentMinimum of 3–5 years of hands-on HR experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or similar environment2+ years of experience in a unionized environmentStrong employee relations experience, including investigations, discipline, and performance managementWorking knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)Experience supporting frontline supervisors and hourly workforceAbility to manage high-volume, day-to-day HR issues with minimal oversightStrong communication skills with the ability to handle difficult conversationsExperience using HR systems (HRIS) for employee data, reporting, and trackingAbility to use basic workforce data (turnover, attendance, etc.) to inform decisionsPreferred Qualifications:Prior title as an HR ManagerExperience in a lean manufacturing environmentPHR or SPHR certificationAdvanced analytics or dashboard/reporting experienceDemonstrated ability to influence broader business strategy or drive shareholder valueWork Environment & Schedule:On-site work arrangement: 5 days per week in the Cleveland, Texas FacilityPeriodic Flexibility in work schedule to ensure availability to off shifts.Up to 15% travel to off-site conferences, meetings, etc.Must be willing and able to work in a manufacturing environment, including participating in shop floor tours and complying with all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocolsDISCLAIMER:Please note the duties listed are not set forth for purposes of limiting the assignment of work.
