Material Handler Onsite in Chattanooga, Tennessee2 Positions Direct hire with full benefits $22-$28 an hour based on experienceJob Summary The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, storing, and tracking materials, products, and inventory throughout the facility. This position supports production, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations by ensuring materials are available when needed and handled according to company safety and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations.Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production or customer orders.Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.Must be able to build custom pallets and crates to protect part for shipping.Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.Accurately verify quantities and product information against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.Follow all safety procedures and company policies.Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or equipment issues to supervisors.Support shipping, receiving, and production teams as needed.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.Basic computer and inventory management skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Good communication and organizational skills.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.Working ConditionsWarehouse or manufacturing facility environment.Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment.Overtime and flexible scheduling may be required based on business needs.Preferred SkillsForklift certification.Experience with ERP, WMS, APS, or inventory control systems.
