Commercial Roofing Technician / Crew Leader

Full-Time | Minimum 5 Years Commercial Roofing Experience

About the Position

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Roofing Technician / Crew Leader to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of hands-on commercial roofing experience , with strong experience in maintenance, repairs, leak detection, roof restoration, and coating systems .

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than simply showing up and doing roofing work. We are looking for a leader who wants to build, develop, and eventually run their own commercial roofing crew .

You will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility, help train and develop employees, and play an important role in building a successful commercial roofing team.

Build and Lead Your Own Crew

We are specifically looking for someone with leadership ability and initiative .

Our goal is to find an experienced roofer who can help build a crew and eventually take responsibility for running that crew in the field.

You will be expected to:

• Lead by example.
• Train and develop less-experienced roofers.
• Help build a dependable and productive crew.
• Assign and organize daily work.
• Maintain quality and productivity.
• Make good decisions in the field.
• Communicate job requirements and progress with management.
• Inspect completed work.
• Help maintain a safe and professional job site.
• Take ownership of the success and performance of your crew.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial roof inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair roof leaks.
• Perform emergency and scheduled roof repairs.
• Repair seams, flashings, penetrations, curbs, drains, and other roof details.
• Work on a variety of commercial roofing systems.
• Prepare roof surfaces for coating applications.
• Apply, repair, and maintain commercial roof coating systems.
• Perform roof restoration and waterproofing work.
• Remove and replace damaged roofing materials.
• Properly use roofing hand tools, power tools, equipment, ladders, and fall-protection systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Follow all safety procedures and job-site requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Complete work orders and document completed work.
• Train crew members in proper roofing techniques and safety practices.
• Ensure work is completed correctly, efficiently, and safely.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
• Strong experience in commercial roof maintenance and repair.
• Hands-on experience with commercial roof coating systems .
• Strong leak detection and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field.
• Ability and willingness to lead and train other employees.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Reliable attendance and transportation.
• Ability to safely work at heights.
• Ability to properly use fall-protection equipment.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• OSHA or other roofing safety training is a plus.

Compensation

Pay: Competitive and based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: Full-time. Schedule may vary depending on project and customer requirements.
