Research Assistant (Soc/Clin Research Assistant - Contributing) Location: Chapel Hill, NC, North Carolina, US Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (hours may vary based on project needs) Position Type: Full‑Time Permanent Staff (SHRA) Salary: $36,320 – $42,174 (Pay Band: NC07 / GN06) Position Summary The Center for Global Health and Infectious Disease in the School of Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a full‑time Research Assistant to support HIV research within the Center for AIDS Research. Responsibilities include data collection and management, medical chart abstraction, data entry into a computerized instrument, and administering surveys to patients. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Meticulous performance of medical record data abstraction and entry, high organization, and ability to work independently. Familiarity with HIV medical care and terminology. Experience working with individuals living with HIV. Experience with chart abstractions and administering surveys to patients. Bilingual in Spanish.
