HCA Healthcare is seeking full time and PRN Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital in coastal Fort Pierce and its Freestanding Emergency Department in Vero Beach, Florida. Qualified candidates must be board certified or board eligible thru the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM). They must have Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Candidates must have completed an Emergency Medicine Residency and Board Certified within 5 years. They will cover Vero Beach Freestanding Emergency Department 2-3 times a month mixed in with schedule at main Emergency Department.

Emergency Department Profile includes being a Level II Trauma Center, Peds Emergency Department plus one Freestanding Emergency Department, 106,000 annual patient visits in Main Emergency Department and Peds Emergency Department, 42-bed Emergency Department including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds, 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric, 2.0 pph, 70 hours total of physician coverage (main Emergency Department and Peds Emergency Department incl), 60 hours of APP coverage, 26% admission rate, comprehensive stroke facility with bi-plane, interventional cardiac cath, code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability, several dedicated Emergency Department glide scopes and ultrasound, 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists, and no floor code or consult responsibilities.

Facility Information includes a 497-bed acute care hospital, medical residency programs in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, and Emergency Medicine, cardiology, general surgery, interventional radiology, mental health and wellness, pediatrics, neonatal ICU (Level II and III), pediatric ICU, neurosurgery, orthopedics, urology, women's care, weight loss surgery, and more. It is a certified primary stroke center, a five-star recipient for the treatment of heart attack by Healthgrades, a comprehensive stroke center accredited by The Joint Commission and designated as a top performer, and the only CARF accreditation facility on the Treasure Coast.
