Development Associate Job Location:Berkeley, California Job Type:Temporary Pay Rate:$31-$31.25/hour Schedule:Monday - Friday; 8am-5pm Description of Position:Do you have experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, development operations, or administrative support? Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Development Associate to support fundraising, donor stewardship, volunteer programs, events, and communications. This position serves as an important support hub for the Philanthropy & External Affairs team. You'll help keep donor information accurate, ensure gifts and acknowledgements are processed on time, coordinate volunteer and fundraising activities, and make sure important follow up happens consistently. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and interested in growing their career in nonprofit fundraising and philanthropy. Job Responsibilities:Development & Donor SupportProcess donations and prepare acknowledgement letters, tax documents, and donor correspondenceMaintain accurate donor, foundation, corporate, and prospect records in SalesforceSupport department meetings, scheduling, agendas, materials, and follow-upHelp ensure donor and funder follow up is complete accurately and on time electronically through the recordsReconcile donations with Finance teamFundraising EventsSupport planning and coordination of fundraising and donor eventsCoordinate sponsor benefits, recognition, materials, and correspondenceAssist with donor tours, small gatherings, and cultivation activitiesVolunteer & Community EngagementCoordinate volunteer communications, schedules, materials, and appreciation effortsMaintain accurate volunteer records and track participation and hoursIn-Kind GivingCommunicate with current and prospective in-kind donorsCoordinate donation pick-ups and drop-offs with program and operations teamsIdentify community or corporate partners who may have potential for deeper engagementCommunications & Social MediaDraft and schedule basic social media posts promoting events, volunteer opportunities, donor recognition, and organizational updatesGather photos, stories, program updates, and other content for communications Description of Company:You will be supporting a non-profit organization in Berkeley, California.
