Hardware Dev. Engineer I (Electrical), One Materials Handling System (OMHS) Job ID: 10553866 | Amazon.com Services LLC - A57 Design and realize the next generation of state-of-the-art industrial machinery for materials handling. Motivated early-career electrical engineers are needed to build and deliver the artifacts used to manufacture industrial machinery at-scale. Job functions include, but are not limited to: panel design, schematics design, interconnection and single-line diagramming, product data management, collaborative product development, manual prototyping and first-article construction support. Key job responsibilities Design of power/control/data/signaling circuits to applicable local standards. Production of complete machinery schematics packages using industry-standard software including panel layouts, multi-line diagrams, single-line diagrams, bills of materials, connection reports, and more. Product data management using PLM software suite. Running design reviews and alignment meetings collaboratively. A day in the life Daily activities include collaborative ideation and progress-tracking meetings with tight teams, product data management, design document production and review, machinery site-visits, and team building activities. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent Knowledge of schematic design and debug skills Knowledge of current industry standards Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations Experience with hardware/software integration and real-time systems Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
