Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,101 a week in all, a taxable rate of $23.16 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Float Position — The position supports medical-surgical patient care across multiple units in an acute care setting. Responsibilities include caring for surgical and medical patients, adapting to varied patient populations, and floating between departments as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Schedule: Day shifts of 12 hours, 36 hours per week; every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday requirements.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Provides care for surgical patients, including total joint, fracture, bariatric, urology, and general surgery patients, as well as medical patients with congestive heart failure, cerebrovascular accident, shortness of breath, and diabetic conditions. The role may involve caring for patients requiring continuous positive airway pressure, bilevel positive airway pressure, and high-flow oxygen. Registered nurses confirm telemetry strips, while monitor technicians perform primary monitoring. Any scrub color is permitted.
