Assistant Operations Manager – Construction Supply & Operations
Fort Worth, TX
$75,000–$85,000 Annual Salary + Monthly Bonus Potential

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Branch Operations Manager with daily branch operations
• Help oversee warehouse, yard, inventory, and operational workflows
• Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, transfers, receiving, and discrepancy resolution
• Assist with staffing coordination, operational planning, and workflow management
• Lead and support employee training, coaching, and development
• Promote operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support customer service operations and sales counter activities as needed
• Coordinate branch safety initiatives, toolbox talks, safety walks, and OSHA compliance efforts
• Assist with incident reporting, corrective actions, and safety communication
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, inventory, warehouse, and safety teams

Qualifications

• 3+ years of operations management, inventory management, warehouse management, or logistics leadership experience
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in construction supply, industrial distribution, manufacturing, equipment rental, or warehouse operations preferred
• Knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP software
• Understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA compliance preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Associate degree in Business, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred
