Position: BartenderJob Description: The Beverage Outlet Bartender will serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner. They prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the loungeRequired Skills and Requisites:Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate.Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages. Liquor certification if required by the state or local government. Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. High School Diploma required.Bartending experience required.Responsibilities and Duties:Maintains proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis.Responsible for maintaining stock, preparing and storing of all garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.Greets guests in courteous and friendly manner.Promotes and documents orders for drinks.Inputs orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers.Processes all payments for beverage purchases and ensures accuracy of said payments in order to balance all monies.Locks up and stores all beverage, food, and other equipment items.Deposits cash drops and secures bank.Performs general cleaning tasks to adhere to Health Department regulations.Must be aware of and adhere to all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.At Palette Hotels, we are dedicated to creating and sustaining meaningful hospitality careers for our associates.
