Description

• Design tailored treatment plans addressing both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognition, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver specialized speech therapy sessions that focus on various aspects of communication including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, physical and occupational therapists, as well as family members to ensure unified care strategies.
• Provide valuable education to patients and their families, promoting progress outside the therapy environment.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring patients experience seamless and effective care throughout their journey.
• Maintain thorough and compliant documentation in line with state and federal regulations.
• Commit to remaining current in your practice through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet received ASHA certification.

Certifications

• A state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required within the first 30 days of employment.
