Physician Assistant - Cardiology

Position Overview Physician Assistant - Cardiology at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Responsibilities Perform physical examinations, obtain medical histories, order labs, ECGs, chest X-rays, and other studies on consult service and pre‑procedure under attending supervision. Evaluate and interpret patient medications, laboratory tests, and obtain consent for cardiac procedures. Coordinate and facilitate referrals and follow‑up for cardiac procedures (Cardiac Cath, EP studies, device procedures, cardiothoracic surgery). Perform cardiac procedures including stress tests, stress echocardiography, tilt table testing, and nuclear stress testing under attending supervision. Assist in cardiac catheterization lab procedures and perform inpatient cardiovascular consults. Monitor and follow patients in the cardiac care unit. Perform non‑invasive cardiac stress testing under attending supervision. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, care coordination, and patient/family communication. Qualifications Board eligible or board certified by NCCPA. Licensed to practice in New York State. Experience with ECG and blood pressure monitoring equipment. Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred. ACLS and BLS certification. Compensation & Benefits Annual base salary: $131,127–$174,836 (based on 40‑hour work week and years of state licensure). The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $144,239–$192,319, including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, and other factors. 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately vested; additional 7% after one year of service. Annual continuing medical education (CME) reimbursement. Generous paid time off (vacation, sick, holiday, CME days).
