Charge Nurse (RN), Surgical Med Surg, Part Time, Nights West Chester, OH, United States Job Description UC Health is hiring a Part Time Charge Registered Nurse (RN) for the Surgical Med Surg unit on Night Shift at the West Chester Hospital. The Charge Nurse delivers high‑quality patient care, reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager, assigns nursing activities, and utilizes nursing science to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. About West Chester Hospital West Chester Hospital is a Level III Trauma Center and Magnet‑recognized facility serving the region. Plan and prioritize individualized, age‑specific patient problems. Implement and document the plan of care according to policy and standards. Continuously evaluate nursing practice. Lead and manage nursing activities among staff. Consider cost and outcomes in care planning. Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing school; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Current OH RN license. At least one year of nursing experience; additional clinical experience desired. BCLS required prior to patient contact; ACLS telemetry and other certifications (medical/surgical, orthopedic, critical care, gerontological) desired. Professional organization membership desirable. Culture‑specific patient care and education skills. Effective communication, confidentiality, and professionalism. Commitment to continuing professional growth and ability to adapt to change. Competency in adult and geriatric patient care.
