Quality Lab Technician The Quality Lab Technician at Nypro Inc. is responsible for performing a variety of quality control tests and inspections on products and materials to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and supporting the company's commitment to excellence. Job Responsibilities: Perform routine and non-routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using various laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Document and record test results accurately and meticulously, maintaining detailed records of all analyses performed. Analyze test data, identify deviations from specifications, and report findings to the Quality Assurance team and relevant production personnel. Conduct visual inspections of products for defects, dimensional accuracy, and overall quality. Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and accuracy of results. Prepare samples for testing according to established procedures and protocols. Assist in the investigation of quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints. Participate in the development and revision of quality control procedures and work instructions. Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment. Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments regarding quality-related matters. Job Qualifications: Associate's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Engineering Technology) or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of experience in a quality control or laboratory setting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using various laboratory testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, microscopes, tensile testers). Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Ability to accurately record, interpret, and report data. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
