Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the cardiac procedure center, prep recovery area.
License: Must hold a valid nursing license.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS required.


Must-Have:
Experience using Epic.
Knowledge on cardiac catheterizations and stent placement.
Experience with electrophysiology procedures and vascular procedures.
Efficiency in pulling sheaths.
Experience in prepping and recovering patients in cardiac procedures.


Description:
This position involves working in the prep recovery area for cardiac procedures.
The shifts are 12 hours per day, three days per week, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
No weekends, no holidays, and no on-call duties are required.
Registered nurses will be responsible for pre and post-care for cardiac catheterizations, TEE, electrophysiology, and peripheral vascular patients.
Knowledge and skills required include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-cardiac angiogram care, and sheath removal.
Additional responsibilities include blood product administration, phlebotomy, peripheral line care and management, PICC line management, and starting IVs.
Nurses will also manage cardiac and vasoactive drips and care for patients using oxygen delivery systems.
Isolation precautions must be followed when necessary.
Travelers must float within their scope to meet facility needs.
This role requires effective communication and teamwork within an interdisciplinary support system.
The daily census is approximately 35 patients, with a patient ratio of 1:3.
Skills in managing ports, central lines, and various respiratory support systems are also necessary.
