Research Associate, RNAi Chemical Development

Pay Rate: up to $27.36/hr on w2 DURATION: 1+ year with the potential to extend (up to 2-year max) LOCATION: Boulder, CO – ONSITE SCHEDULE: 8am-5pm (some flexibility) MUST HAVES: Science/engineering degree (AS, BS, BA degree) Excitement for the role and willing personality Team mentality and strong communication skills

PURPOSE

This role supports delivery of high-quality oligonucleoProduct product starting materials to innovation and process development teams, enabling ligation-based RNAi manufacturing development and platform expansion. The position is responsible for maintaining a reliable supply system to support fast-paced program advancement.

RELATIONSHIPS

Collaborates with RNAi Chemical Development, Innovation, and Scale-Up teams. Interfaces with API development and oligonucleoProduct production stakeholders. Individual contributor within a cross-functional environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Support preparation and delivery of oligonucleoProduct starting materials. Execute laboratory procedures related to oligonucleoProduct synthesis, processing, and purification. Operate and maintain workflows ensuring reliable material supply. Support ligation development through timely substrate preparation. Maintain equipment and document workflows and materials. Drive continuous improvement in efficiency and scalability.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's or Master's in chemistry, biochemistry, or related field. Experience: 0–3+ years of relevant lab experience. Technical Skills: - Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques. - Experience with HPLC or LC-MS is a plus. - Familiarity with automated oligonucleoProduct synthesizers (e.g., Mermade systems) is preferred. - Experience with ion-exchange purification methods for oligonucleoProduct is preferred. - Basic understanding of RNAi or oligonucleoProduct chemistry preferred.
