Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical ICU

Position Information

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical ICU. The position requires working shifts during the night, specifically a 3x12 schedule with guaranteed weekly hours.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to critical care patients in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as needed.
  • Coordinate patient care with healthcare team members and assist in developing patient care plans.
  • Float as necessary to stepdown and medical-surgical units based on operational needs.
Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Arkansas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a critical care setting.
  • CCRN certification is preferred.
Unit Information
  • Number of Beds: 32
  • Patient Ratios: 2:1, 3:1
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: EPIC
Additional Requirements

To ensure patient safety, all licensed staff providing direct patient care must pass a medication and math competency test prior to assuming medication administration responsibilities. The exam includes knowledge of common medications and their side effects, as well as appropriate dosage calculations. A passing grade of 90% is required, with one retake permitted.
