Activities Assistant

Bethany Village Assisted Living facility is looking for a PER DIEM assistant! Position Overview: To keep the residents active and stimulated through various activity programs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Salary Description
$16/hr
- Responsible for knowing individual responsibilities, but concerns should be reported immediately to the supervisor.
- Daily activities programs with residents, includes set-up for activities daily and weekly.
- Responsible for the safety of fellow employees, as well judgment is required in order to make independent decisions.
- Extensive responsibility for the maintenance of confidential resident/facility information.
- Endorses and complies with the vision, objectives, procedures, and policies of Bethany Village.
- Responsible for the safety of fellow workers as well as residents.
- Judgment is required in order to make independent decisions.
- Adheres to all fire safety & evacuation procedures.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma is required for this position.
- Ability to read and write English is also required for this position.
- Valid NYS Driver's License is required.
- Minimum training time of 1 month should be expected in order to satisfactorily perform this job.
- No significant hazards should be expected for this position.
- MSDS sheets are available for all chemicals used.

- Hours: This position may require to work off shifts as necessary.
- Weekends and traveling may be required as needed.
- Working conditions for this position may include the following: Inside, outside, hot, cold, sudden temperature changes, humid, dry, wet, odors, noisy, adequate lighting/ventilation, moving objects, cramped quarters, working with/around others, working alone.
