About the Role
The Company is in need of an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide immediate operational oversight, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, supervising and supporting pharmacy staff, and leading departmental meetings in collaboration with hospital leadership. A key aspect of the role is to monitor workflow efficiency and implement process improvements, as well as to support both clinical and operational pharmacy services as required. Applicants for the Interim Director of Pharmacy position at the company must have an active Virginia Pharmacist License and a minimum of 2 years' recent inpatient pharmacy management experience. A strong understanding of hospital operations and regulatory requirements is essential, as is a proven track record in leadership and team management. The role requires proficiency with Meditech and Omnicell systems, excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and the ability to lead in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
