Global Institute Program Manager

Overview The S&P Global Institute is S&P Global’s hub for thought leadership at an enterprise level. The Program Manager will shape, run, and scale the Institute’s operating model, translating strategic ambition into clear workflows, governance rhythms, and playbooks for cross‑divisional research, enabling consistent, high‑quality delivery across the organization. Responsibilities & Impact Operating Model & Workflow Design: Own and continuously evolve end‑to‑end workflow, translate strategy into executable processes, governance rhythms, decision points, and playbooks; build operating model infrastructure and develop integrated delivery calendars and resourcing views. Coordination with Divisions and Key Stakeholders: Serve as the day‑to‑day execution lead between the Institute and stakeholder groups (divisions, Editorial, Marketing, Communications, CEO’s Office/Strategy, CCO, Public Affairs, and other enterprise partners); coordinate inputs, sequencing, dependencies, and decision points; facilitate alignment forums and working rhythms. Cadence, Resourcing, and Delivery: Track progress against editorial calendars, delivery milestones, and enterprise commitments; surface risks, trade‑offs, and capacity constraints early; partner with the Head on prioritization and resourcing decisions to sustain throughput and quality. Measurement and Performance Management: Lead performance reporting and measurement discipline; track impact, quality, speed, adoption, and stakeholder engagement; produce dashboards, quarterly readouts, and decision‑ready insights for the Head, co‑sponsors, and steering touchpoints. Key Skills Enterprise operating model and program leadership: Proven ability to design end‑to‑end operating models, translate strategy into executable processes, and build repeatable, high‑quality delivery at enterprise scale. Senior stakeholder influence & cross‑functional coordination: Skilled at serving as liaison between the Institute and divisional research, editorial, CCO, marketing, communications, governance partners, and other enterprise stakeholders. Operational rigor with enterprise judgment: Combines accuracy, discipline, and strategic perspective to prioritize, identify trade‑offs, and support senior‑level resourcing and sequencing decisions. Balance speed, quality, risk, and impact: Surfaces capacity constraints, sequencing risks, and trade‑offs early; applies data‑driven assessment and innovative problem‑solving to keep the Institute on track. Propose quality standards & delivery guidelines: Ensures standards embedded in Institute‑sponsored research and outputs. Performance management, insight, & executive reporting: Designs dashboards and performance reporting that track impact, quality, speed, and adoption; produces decision‑ready readouts for the Head and co‑sponsors. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $126,676 to $221,434 USD, adjusted for location and experience. Eligible for an annual incentive plan and additional S&P Global benefits. Proven ability to design and operationalize complex, cross‑functional workflows and playbooks in a matrixed organization. Experience coordinating across editorial, research, events, and communications functions at an enterprise level. Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities, with the ability to align senior stakeholders across divisions and functions. Track record of building and running performance reporting, dashboards, and quality disciplines in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment. Comfortable working in ambiguous, evolving operating environments and building structure and clarity. Collaborative, commercially aware, and execution‑oriented, balancing strategic judgment with operational detail.
