In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and rehabilitation of critical infrastructure, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help ensure technical excellence across each phase of project development—advancing resilient transportation networks that serve communities for years to come.CHA believes our employees should have the time and flexibility to balance work and personal commitments. We offer most employees the option of a hybrid schedule with a work week that includes both office and work from home days.What You'll Do:Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for bridge projectsPlan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staffMonitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructureComplete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutionsProvide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staffWhat You Bring:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree in Engineering preferredMinimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required in bridge design Prior experience with GDOT projects requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredProficiency with Microsoft Office softwareExperience with Bluebeam, ProjectWise, Bentley software and GDOT in-house softwareExperience with interdisciplinary coordination with geotechnical, hydraulics, and environmental teamsProven ability to collaborate effectively in a virtual, team-oriented environmentExperience mentoring junior staff and delegating work to support project deliveryProven management experience developing scopes of work, forecasting effort, and maintaining client communicationStrong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering lawsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:Find your why at CHA by contributing to infrastructure that connects people, strengthens communities, and shapes the way we move—through bridge projects that leave a lasting impactBe part of a team that’s always searching for a better way—where collaboration, shared expertise, and innovative thinking come together to solve complex challengesBuild a career with purpose and momentum—gaining exposure to diverse structural projects while growing your technical influence, confidence, and role in project deliveryCurious about the impactful work our Bridge team is doing?
