Overview

A growing regional financial institution is seeking an experienced Commercial Relationship Manager to expand its Commercial & Industrial lending portfolio in a high-growth Southwest market.

This role is ideal for a proven commercial banker who enjoys relationship building, business development, and portfolio management while working in an entrepreneurial environment with strong credit support.

Position Summary

The Commercial Relationship Manager will originate, develop, and manage middle-market commercial banking relationships while partnering closely with credit and treasury management teams.

The successful candidate will have an established network within the market and a demonstrated ability to generate new loan and deposit business.

Responsibilities

• Develop new C&I banking relationships.
• Manage an existing commercial loan portfolio.
• Generate loans, deposits, and treasury management opportunities.
• Structure and negotiate commercial credit facilities.
• Partner with credit teams to obtain approvals and close transactions.
• Maintain strong client relationships and referral networks.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling bank products and services.
• Represent the institution within the local business community.

Credit Environment

• Deal sizes typically range from approximately $3MM to $30MM+
• Strong internal credit support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial banking experience.
• Demonstrated production history in commercial lending.
• Existing market relationships preferred.
• Strong credit analysis and portfolio management skills.
• Ability to independently source and close new business.
• Treasury management and deposit gathering experience preferred.

Compensation

• Base salary: approximately $190,000 – $225,000+
• Target bonus: approximately 30%
• High-performing bankers may earn significantly above target through incentive plans.
• Additional flexibility available for proven producers.
