Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Milford, CT. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our facility. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a team, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are packed securely and labeled correctly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update systems as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the shipping and receiving area.
- Communicate with vendors and carriers regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
