Description

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans that encompass immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on aspects such as communication, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work in close collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to design comprehensive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to support progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Conduct evaluations and interventions for patients requiring inpatient speech therapy, ensuring ongoing care throughout their recovery journey.
• Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous learning and collaboration with peers to stay abreast of industry developments.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
