Job Responsibilities

• Perform assessments for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized tests and observational evaluations.
• Create individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving both short-term objectives and enduring communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Conduct personalized one-on-one speech therapy focused on improving communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to ensure integrated care plans.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families to enhance their progress outside the therapy context.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, maintaining seamless continuity of care throughout treatment.
• Uphold accurate and prompt documentation that complies with all state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training and collaboration with peers.

Education Requirements

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• A completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been attained.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
