Overview

We are partnering with a growing commercial flooring organization to identify a Project Manager responsible for overseeing commercial flooring projects from preconstruction through closeout while ensuring profitability, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

This is a hybrid, client-facing role ideal for an experienced commercial flooring professional with strong estimating review and project management capabilities. The position involves regular interaction with general contractors, property owners, architects, designers, end users, vendors, and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of commercial flooring systems, construction practices, and project execution while maintaining the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and project requirements during preconstruction phases
• Perform and review quantity takeoffs for carpet, resilient, wood, ceramic, and specialty flooring products
• Solicit pricing from manufacturers, suppliers, and subcontractors
• Prepare competitive proposals, estimates, and bid packages
• Analyze project risks, schedules, scope requirements, exclusions, and clarifications
• Attend pre-bid meetings and project site visits as needed
• Manage commercial flooring projects from award through final closeout
• Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, labor scheduling, and project execution activities
• Monitor project schedules and communicate updates to customers, field personnel, vendors, and internal teams
• Manage project budgets, job costs, profitability, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documentation
• Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, quality standards, and safety compliance
• Resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with customers, vendors, and installation teams
• Identify opportunities for additional work, change orders, and future projects
• Support company growth initiatives and contribute to revenue and profitability goals
• Maintain project documentation, billing support, and project turnover processes

Ideal Background

• Minimum 5 years of commercial flooring estimating and project management experience
• Strong knowledge of carpet, resilient, wood, ceramic, and specialty flooring systems
• Experience reading blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
• Ability to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates
• Strong understanding of commercial construction practices and project delivery methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with RFMS, Measure, BidPro, or similar flooring software preferred
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites
